Easter has passed but let us still enjoy the spring season with this bunny baby shower. I had the privilege of organizing my sister’s baby shower with the help from my mom and cousins. Now, I am excited to share that you can see the details of this shower on Hostess with the Mostess, Dustin did such an amazing job capturing this event!
My sister-in-law arranged this massive urn centerpiece which was quite that talk of the party. Sarah selected decorative kale, roses and hydrangea which created the perfect garden feel and tied our theme in perfectly. She has a keen eye for design and is a little bit of a perfectionist, just the right combination to arrange glorious flower displays. I am so blessed to have a sister who is so talented, she also made the floral crown for the mom to be.
For the desserts, I made a three tiered cake and other mini desserts. Two of the tiers of the cake I stenciled with a circular petal pattern and wrapped banners of hand-cut flowers in multiple shades of green, and the center tier I dusted with powdered sugar to give a chalkboard feel and then painted a bunny cameo in the center of a plaque. I topped the cake with an R the beginning initial of my sister’s last name since she was waiting to discover the gender of the baby. The mini desserts consisted of tarts, sugar cookies and cake shots.
We got some fun scrapbook paper and cut the paper into bunny shapes. We strung up the cut bunnies into all the doorways, these and multi-colored pom poms created more color to the party and was an inexpensive way to add décor.
One other way to make mom to be feel extra special, I had my sister in law Sarah make a floral crown for her and a friend styled her hair and applied her make-up. She looked stunning!
Special thanks to HWTM for the feature and to all our great vendors who made this party possible!
