This past weekend, my aunt and sisters had the pleasure of throwing a baby shower for my cousin who will be having the first 2nd cousin, the first great grandchild and the first great nephew. The family legacy continues and the next generation begins with the expectant arrival of this little one. We can’t be any more excited to welcome little Lee into the world.
My cousin, Rachel, has been an avid reader probably since she has been able to grasp a book. Me being her younger cousin, I always remember her having one or two books in tow, stacks on her nightstand, and a line up of books on her to-read list. The girls and I thought it would be fun to incorporate her love for reading into her baby shower. Each guest was asked to bring a children’s book in lieu of a card so we can now fill the new bookworm’s library.
While my aunt worked on the massive balloon worm, my sisters and I got to work on making the treats for the dessert bar.
We thought it would be cute to incorporate the worm theme just a little bit further so we made “Worms in Dirt” cups and Jell-O shooters with gummy worms inside.
Can’t wait to meet you Baby Lee!
